Exacto's Earring Order

What do 500 pairs of earrings look like?

Here are 250 to give you an idea! I made two batches that I delivered on two separate dates to Exacto Spring Corporation. This was by far my largest order to date.

The process is a really fun and creative one, though. I do enjoy making these!

  • During the year, I go through Exacto and collect certain springs that they may be manufacturing at that specific time.
  • I keep them numbered by product identification codes, and in separate bags because if all the springs were to be in one container, they would tangle into a horrific mess.
  • I also constantly keep my eye out on new beads and shapes/materials that would coordinate with certain springs and store those items as well.

  • When I feel inspired, I get all the materials out and start designing a few mock designs. The designs that turn out are then laid out to assemble about 25 pairs at a time. I have included some of this process in the photos. This is the most fun part.
  • The part that is more tedious would be making the card backings with the company logo and bagging each set of earrings.

For being springs, I surprise myself with how cool some of these turn out! Exacto uses them to gift to clients that tour the factory as well as giveaway promotional items at trade shows.

Something for the Fabulous Kelly Berens

Sometimes I see something, and it reminds me of a particular person.
I made this for KB because it radiates "her", and she is AMAZING!

500 Spring Earrings

These were made for Exacto Spring Corporation.

The earrings are given to clients or guests who tour the factory and are also given out as promotional items at trade shows. All the springs utilized were actually produced by Exacto and then used to be the centerpiece of each pair of earrings. I just added complementary beadwork to each to make a really unique piece of jewelry!

Simple drop pendants on leather cord

These are simple, everyday necklaces. Each pendant is linked onto a silver tube which slides along a thin black leather cord. The clasp is a lobster claw. They measure just over 16" long. Each drop is about 2". Hanging from the clasp is my "Inspire" tag. $25 each. Thanks for looking!

Teal Cascade and Chain Necklace

This piece is on silver plated chain which is a little larger than typical chain. I used a lot of different beads to create a cascading effect. I used chrysacola, freshwater pearls, swarovski crystal, chalcedony, quartz, and glass beads. It is 17 1/2" long and the longest drop on it measures 3". $45.00 Thanks for looking!

This can be a very SEXY necklace!
